Disney Parks and Experiences are the physical locations where the the magic of Disney entertainment comes to life and dreams really do come true.

As the Manager of Revenue Management for Retail and Restaurants, I was responsible for the unique challenge of balancing creativity, operations capability, and profitability as we worked to bring the Disneyland experience to the first ever Disney resort in mainland China. Working towards the goal of creating an authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese experienced, I launched numerous projects including the hugely successful expansion of the Duffy and Friends portfolio which saw an 400+% increase in the share of retail revenue in two years.

As a Business Development Manager for Samsung SmartThings and Samsung Connect Auto, I developed and tested go-to-market strategies for Internet of Things service businesses being incubated by the Samsung Mobile division. I established cross functional relationships with hardware and software R&D teams, sales, and marketing to develop industry partnerships, including a collaborative demonstration with Fiat-Chrysler at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

In addition, I worked in the Global Strategy Group, which is an internal consulting office reporting to the Samsung Group chairman. I completed a number of studies around channel management / ecommerce as well as corporate acquisition, partnership, and divestiture, providing insights that informed key strategic decisions.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing music with my daughter, especially as we learn how to play a variety of simple and fun instruments (harmonica, ukulele, cajon, melodica, Chinese bamboo flute). Also, on the weekends I also enjoy refining my repertoire of “night market” street food recipes. Finally, I prioritize my health and fitness, and I am currently focusing on the “centenarian decathlon” as described by Peter Attia.
